Local Groups:

Animal ACTivists of Philly – Animal rights group based in Philadelphia, but also taking action in the surrounding PA and NJ area.

Compassion for Animals • Respect for the Environment (CARE) – Animal and environmental activism group located in Chester County. Hosts vegan events, including an annual vegan festival.

Lehigh Valley Vegetarians – Despite the group name, most members support a vegan lifestyle for health and ethical reasons. Based in Lehigh County.

 

National & International Groups

A Well-Fed World – Concentrates on ending human and animal suffering, including the elimination of world hunger, by promoting veganism.

The Bunny Alliance – A grassroots animal liberation organization, currently supporting an international effort to end the transport of animals to laboratories.

Direct Action Everywhere (DXE) – Animal liberation organization currently concentrating on animals that suffer and die for food and in research laboratories.

Fish Feel – Advocates for an often-forgotten group of animals – the many species killed and marketed as “seafood.”

Mercy for Animals – Investigates and takes legal & economic action against animal abusers, especially those raising and killing animals for consumption.

Peace Advocacy Network (PAN) – Approaches veganism in an intersectional manner, holistically encompassing the human, animal, and environmental aspects.

Sea Shepherd – Combats oceanic habitat destruction and wildlife slaughter through direct action.

SHowing Animals Respect and Kindness (SHARK) – Performs a lot of investigative work, including filming local pigeon shoots. Targets include rodeos, circuses, bullfighting, and hunting.

Stop Animal Exploitation Now! (SAEN) – Fights against vivisection/animal testing through investigation, advocacy, and action.

United Poultry Concerns – Promotes the rights of domestic fowl, including those birds exploited for their flesh and eggs.
